Seasonal Scents

shutterstock_221862415-featureEric Buterbaugh knows more than a little about delightful fragrances. Having earned a reputation as the florist to the stars, in 2015, he took that expertise and applied it to his own line of seven unisex scents, EB Florals by Eric Buterbaugh (since then, two more scents have been added to the collection). “A perfume and floral composition have a lot in common in terms of inspiration, creation and structure,” Buterbaugh says. “I jotted down a list of my favorite flowers and used that to open a conversation with master perfumers.” This spring he launches his latest creation, Nick’s Sunflower, a collaboration with hat designer Nick Fouquet, who is making a collection of hats to coincide with the launch.

Whatever your perfume preference, Buterbaugh suggests having a little fun with your choice. “When you like a new fragrance, try it on your skin and clothes at the same time and see what happens—that might help you decide how to wear it,” he says. “I love wearing two scents simultaneously on different parts of my body. It keeps things interesting.”
