Music to Your Mouth at Montage Palmetto Bluff

Taking place Nov. 18-24 at Montage Palmetto Bluff, Music to Your Mouth is a celebration of the best and brightest in Southern food and music, paired with esteemed vintners, brewers, mixologists and distillers from across the South and around the world.

Here are some of the spirit raising events on the schedule:

Culinary Salon: Bourbon & Bacon Grace Cruise

Nov. 21, noon – 1:30 p.m. or 2 – 3:30 p.m. on the Grace

Nosh on Benton’s Ham and other pork plates while sipping some bourbon from Belle Meade Bourbon as you sail down the May River on this two-hour cruise aboard Grace, Palmetto Bluff’s antique motor yacht, which was built in 1913.

Culinary Salon: Bubbles & Caviar Grace Cruise

Nov. 22, noon – 1:45 p.m. on the Grace

Embark on a two-hour tour aboard the antique yacht, Grace, for a caviar and sparkling wine tasting with David McCarus, co-founder of McCarus Beverage Co.


Culinary Salon: A Tasting With Paul Hobbs

Nov. 22, 1 – 3 p.m.

Paul Hobbs’ pioneering spirit and adventurous pursuit of innovation and discovery have inspired this tasting of a curated selection of the Paul Hobbs portfolio which represents exceptional vineyards, appellations and historic sites from around the world: California (Paul Hobbs Winery and CrossBarn), Argentina (Viña Cobos), France (Crocus) and Armenia (Yacoubian-Hobbs), with new projects in New York’s Finger Lakes region (Hillick & Hobbs) and Galicia, Spain, coming soon. This tasting will be led by Dan Pilkey and Matt Hobbs of Paul Hobbs winery.

Hair of the Dog 5K

Nov. 23, 8 a.m. start at RT’s Market

A friendly competition set amid Palmetto Bluff’s neighborhoods and nature trails, racers will receive a race T-shirt and be greeted with a Bloody Mary, bagels and fanfare when crossing the finish line. Or, you can skip the run and just enjoy a little morning sunshine and some “hair of the dog.”

Culinary Festival

Nov. 23, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Culinary Festival is a gathering of epicureans, winemakers, growers and artisans, brought together to accentuate the abundance of ingredients from the surrounding waters, woods and local farms. They showcase their finest nibbles and nectars and take guests on an incredible sensory experience.
