Race for Preservation at the Palmetto Bluff Marathon

The popular Palmetto Bluff Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10K races start March 8 in the heart of Wilson Village and travel along a tree-shaded course hidden away among an intricate maze of rivers, islands and maritime forest. Race proceeds will benefit the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the natural, historical and cultural resources of the Bluff.

Once you cross the finish line, celebrate at the after party with live music, a complimentary beer and barbecue sandwich from the Palmetto Bluff food truck, Big Carol, and pick up your  finisher’s medal. The 1st place Marathon winner for male and female will receive a two-day/one-night stay at Montage Palmetto Bluff. The 1st place Half Marathon winner for male and female will receive a $200 gift certificate to Montage Palmetto Bluff and the 1st place 10K winner for male and female will receive $100 gift certificate to Montage Palmetto Bluff. Awards will also be given to the top three winners in each age division.

With regular educational programs and yearlong research projects on the abounding wildlife and rich history of the Bluff, the Conservancy ensures the    spectacular ecology and diverse environments of the community will be enjoyed by many for years to come. (palmettobluff.com)
